How long are lessons?

We offer 45-minute and 1-hour private lessons.
Where are you located?

Allen, TX at Custer and McDermott. Convenient location for most of Allen, Frisco, McKinney and Plano.
Do I need a piano at home?

Yes! A piano at home is essential as consistent, daily practice is one of the most important factors for developming skills. We are happy to help you find an instrument that meets your budget and space in your home.
How much practice time is required?

The number of practice minutes varies depending on the student and their goals. Daily practice is essential as muscles require repetition every 24-hour period to master a skill or a song. Younger beginner students may start with 15-20 minutes of daily practice and work up to 1 hour as they grow older and advance. The amount of practice time is something that you will discuss with your private instructor often as the student's needs and goals change.
Does the parent need to observe the lessons?

Initially, yes. It is important that the parent have an idea of what is happening in the lessons to help beginner students practice at home. As the student grows older and is able to develop independent practice skills, then the parent may not need to observe every lesson.
How much do lessons cost?

See the Studio Policy for Tuition and Fees. Tuition includes weekly private lessons during the school year (16 in the fall, 16 in the spring), group lessons (3-4 per fall and spring session) and 6 summer lessons.
