Our Program
KPS is a classically-based program with an emphasis on technique, reading skills and expressive playing. Although classical repertoire forms the basis of our program, many students enjoy supplementing with jazz, pop and contemporary praise and worship music among other styles. The classical repertoire provides the opportunity to discover and master skills that allow students to play any style they choose with accuracy and artistry.

Your school-aged child will have a short, private lesson after which you will have the opportunity to discuss studio policies, practice expectations and any questions you have. Success in piano lessons requires a strong working relationship between teacher, student and parent. When you join KPS, we hope that you will be with us until your child graduates from high school! Such a long-term commitment means that we build close relationships with our students and their families. We would be honored to meet you and be a part of your child's musical journey!
Find the Right Teacher
All of the KPS instructors have extensive training and experience as both pianists and teachers. Each of us has the expectation that our students can and will achieve high levels of artistry, and yet we each have a different approach that is informed by our unique personalities and our own experiences as piano students.
